10 minute one-on-one consultation (first 2 breakout sessions only) First come, first served

Requirements:

  •  Participated in a previous consultation at a Kansas SCBWI conference, or
  • Active in a critique group, or
  • Attended the May 2nd  Writers at Work event and had a manuscript critiqued, or
  •  Published by a traditional publisher

 

High Noon in the Saloon (15 participants max)

Group consultation (3rd breakout session
First come, first served  – no prerequisites

Submissions:

  • You'll receive an email asking for your editorial/agent choice after registration
  • Your manuscript may be a MAXIMUM of 700 words which is approximately 3 to 4 pages
  • Your manuscript MUST be in standard manuscript format
  • Bring 6 copies on conference day

Mavericks (6 participants max may submit – others may observe)

SUBMISSION DATE IS PAST

Illustrators will send in 3 images ahead of time and a volunteer will put them together into a presentation. Then faculty will reviewed them and discuss ala a first pages for illustrators.
